Skeypr Privacy Policy

Skeypr is a smart visual calendar for iPhone, made by FY Tempo. This policy says, plainly, what stays on your device, what leaves it, where it goes, and how to delete it.

The short version: Skeypr works without an account and then everything stays on your phone. If you sign in, your calendar syncs to your account. If you turn on Skeypr AI, the text you type into Add is sent to our server to be understood. Nothing else is collected, nothing is sold, and there are no ads or analytics.

Using Skeypr without an account

You can use every part of the calendar without signing in. In that case the following lives only in your iPhone's app storage (and, where noted, in the iOS Keychain, where it is encrypted by the system):

• Your calendar events, reminders, habits and goals
• Your journal and voice notes ("Ramble"), their transcripts and the recordings
• Notes and file attachments you add to an hour of your day
• Your contact lists and outreach history
• Your username, settings and consent choices
• The Vault, additionally protected by Face ID

Skeypr never reads through your iPhone's Contacts. Contacts in Skeypr are ones you typed in, imported from a file you chose, or added one at a time through Apple's own contact picker, which hands the app only the single person you tap. Saving a Skeypr contact out to your iPhone contacts writes; it does not read.

Skeypr cannot send messages or email on your behalf. Where it helps you write something, it drafts it and hands it to you.

If you delete the app without ever signing in, this data is deleted with it.

Your account, and what syncs

Signing in is optional. You can sign in with Sign in with Apple or with an email address and password. Accounts are provided by Firebase Authentication (Google). We store your account id and, for email accounts, your email address; with Sign in with Apple you may choose to hide your email, in which case we only see Apple's relay address.

When you are signed in, the following syncs to your account so that every device you sign into shows the same week:

• Calendar events, elements and signals
• Reminders and reminder categories
• Contact lists, contacts and outreach history
• Goals, journal entries (text) and weekly summaries
• Hour notes (text), habits, study sessions, text templates and calendar-feed subscriptions

Synced data is stored in Google Cloud Firestore, in a location that only your account can read or write. It is not analysed, not shared, and not used for anything except showing it back to you. Voice recordings and file attachments are not uploaded in this version; they stay on the device they were made on.

Things that never sync: your device preferences (language, Face ID lock, haptics, the launch film), the Vault, and the weather cache.

You can delete your account at any time from Settings › Account › Delete account. That removes the account and everything synced to it from our systems; the copy on your phone stays until you clear it or remove the app.

Skeypr AI

Skeypr AI turns what you type or dictate into Add into events and reminders. It is part of Skeypr Plus, with a small free daily allowance for every account.

It is off until you turn it on in Settings › Privacy & AI, and it only works while you are signed in. When it is on and Skeypr decides the built-in parser cannot handle a phrase (or, on Skeypr Plus, for every phrase), the app sends the text of that one phrase and the current date and time to Skeypr's server. Nothing else from your calendar, journal or contacts is sent with it.

Skeypr's server runs on Cloudflare Workers. It forwards the phrase to Google's Gemini API and returns the structured result. We use the Gemini API on its paid terms, under which Google does not use what is sent to train or improve its models, and we do not use your phrases to train anything either. The server keeps a count of how many captures your account has made and how much they cost, so that daily limits can be enforced. It does not keep the phrases.

Turn Skeypr AI off and nothing you type leaves the phone. The switch is checked at the moment of sending, every time.

Voice notes are transcribed on your device. The transcription model is downloaded once (about 75 MB) from Hugging Face; like any download, their servers see the request and the IP address it came from, and nothing else. Your audio never leaves your phone.

Connected assistants

You can connect an assistant you already use — Claude, Grok Bot, Muse, ChatGPT, or anything else that speaks the Model Context Protocol — so that it can see your week and suggest changes. Nothing is connected until you connect it, and the list of what is connected lives in the Connect tab. Connected assistants is part of Skeypr Plus.

When at least one assistant is connected and Skeypr AI is on, the app shares the next fourteen days of your events and reminders — their titles and their times — with Skeypr's server, so the assistant can read them without reaching into your phone. If you allow an assistant to see contacts, the app also shares your contacts' names, companies, titles, first email, first phone, tags, the day you last touched base, and the list they sit in — for the people you touched most recently, up to three hundred. Attachments, addresses, birthdays, your journal, your voice recordings, and anything outside that fortnight are never included; the server deletes any other field before storing; and Skeypr never reads your iPhone's address book. The share happens when what is shared actually changes, and the app shows you when it last happened. The copy of your contacts is deleted the moment no assistant may see it, and "Stop sharing contacts" in the Connect tab does exactly that.

Call notes and call logs are their own choice. They are not shared with contacts. Only if you tick the separate "call notes" line for an assistant does the app share the notes you typed during calls — title, text, who the call was with and when — and, for each person, the log of your calls, texts, emails and meetings with the short note on each: up to two hundred notes of up to eight thousand characters, newest first. That line starts unticked. An assistant can read these; no assistant can write, change or delete a note. The copy is deleted the moment no assistant may read it, and "Stop sharing call notes" in the Connect tab does exactly that.

The operator of the assistant you connect sees whatever you ask it about, the same way it sees anything else you type to it. That is their privacy policy, not ours, which is why connecting one is a deliberate act with a name attached.

An assistant can never change your calendar or your contacts. The only thing it can do is make a suggestion, which arrives in Skeypr as a card that you confirm or dismiss. Until you tap Confirm, nothing has moved. There is no tool that can suggest deleting a contact. Skeypr's server keeps a record of what each assistant asked for and when — the latest two hundred actions — which you can read and export in the Connect tab, and sums up each week.

Your approvals. By default a new assistant is connected only after you approve it on your iPhone, and a deletion an assistant suggests is applied only after you approve it; giving an assistant more than it had always asks. To make that approval, your iPhone creates a key pair and keeps the private half in its Keychain; our server stores the public half and the name of the phone. Approving means Face ID or Touch ID on that iPhone, which iOS checks — Skeypr never sees your face or fingerprint — followed by a signature the server verifies. A second iPhone can approve only after a day, or after your first one vouches for it. Your phones, and the approvals they signed, appear in the Connect tab, and your log records each one.

Your palm, optionally. You can bind your account to your palm through VeryAI's AG9 service. If you do, our server stores the public half of the key your phone made, an opaque identifier VeryAI assigns to you, and the signed statements VeryAI returns when you approve something. Your palm image and its features are collected and kept by VeryAI under VeryAI's privacy policy, never by Skeypr. With the palm on, the approvals above ask for your palm as well, never instead. You can remove the palm binding in the Connect tab; while it is active, removing it asks for the palm too.

Notifications. If you allow notifications, the app registers this iPhone's push token with our server so it can tell you when an assistant is waiting to connect, has made suggestions, or was refused while paused, and to send the weekly summary. A notification only says that something is waiting; what it is about is always read from the server when you open the app.

Disconnect an assistant and its access ends immediately: its keys stop working, and anything it had suggested but you had not confirmed goes with it. Pause it, or all of them, and every call is refused until you resume. Connections expire after ninety days unless you renew them. Turning Skeypr AI off, or signing out, stops the sharing too. Deleting your account deletes the shared fortnight, the shared contacts, the suggestions, your phones' keys and the record of what was asked.

Skeypr Plus

Skeypr Plus is an auto-renewing subscription sold through Apple's App Store. Apple handles the payment and holds your payment details; we never see them. To know whether your account has Plus, our server receives from Apple the subscription's transaction and expiry information and stores it against your account id. Manage or cancel the subscription in your App Store account settings.

Weather and calendar feeds (both off by default)

If you turn weather on, Skeypr sends coarse coordinates, rounded to roughly a kilometre, and nothing else to Open-Meteo, a free weather service. Skeypr reads your location only while the app is open, only to ask for that forecast, and keeps no location history.

If you add a calendar feed (a Canvas feed, a shared Google or Outlook calendar, any .ics link), Skeypr fetches that URL from your own provider directly. The link itself is the credential, so it is kept in your phone's storage — and, when you are signed in, synced to your account so your other devices can refresh it too. Your provider sees the request and the IP address it came from.

The Skeypr website

If you enter your email address in the waitlist form at skeypr.com, we store that address, the date and time, and the fact that it came from skeypr.com, in Google Cloud Firestore. We use it to email you about Skeypr; every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can ask us to delete it. The waitlist is separate from app accounts.

Who else is involved

• Apple — distributes the app, processes Skeypr Plus payments, and provides Sign in with Apple. Reports crash and usage information to us in aggregate.
• Google — Firebase Authentication and Cloud Firestore for accounts and synced data; the Gemini API for Skeypr AI phrases.
• Cloudflare — runs Skeypr's server.
• Open-Meteo — weather, if you enable it.
• Hugging Face — hosts the transcription model you download once.
• Whoever hosts a calendar feed you add — only if you add one.
• The operator of any assistant you connect — only if you connect one, and only what you ask it.

Skeypr contains no advertising and no third-party analytics or tracking software. We do not sell your information and do not share it with anyone for their own purposes.

What we keep, and for how long

Your choices

• Don't sign in — the app is a complete calendar without an account.
• Turn Skeypr AI off — Settings › Privacy & AI. Nothing you type leaves the phone.
• Sign out — stops syncing; your data stays on the phone and in the account.
• Delete your account — Settings › Account. Everything in the account is removed from our systems.
• Disconnect an assistant — the Connect tab. Its access ends immediately, and the sharing stops when the last one is gone.
• Turn weather off — Settings. The cache is deleted with it.
• Ask us anything, or to delete anything — email the address below.

Children

Skeypr is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, the date at the top changes and the app will tell you.
